About Restcued©

What we're working towards:

Restcued© will establish its first safe house in North Central Illinois, with plans to establish safe houses in every community in our nation and globally.  Illinois is ranked  #8 in the U.S. for cases of human trafficking, and Chicago is ranked #5 as one of the top cities in the U.S. for cases of human trafficking.

What Restcued© Safe Houses will provide:

A safe place for survivors of sexual human trafficking to heal in a long term, holistic setting. Every element in our program is evaluated to meet the holistic care model approach; addressing their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Spiritual

We believe that true healing can only come from a relationship with Jesus Christ. Residents attend weekly church services, and participate in a variety of biblical study and spiritual healing during their time at the Safe House.

Psychological

Survivors in our program will be offered weekly therapy sessions with a licensed professional therapist on staff.  They will also be able to participate in group therapeutic activities such as art, music, equine, and DBT.

Physical

Our program encourages, educates, and empowers residents to make healthy choices for their bodies, as well as ensures they receive the medical attention they need. They work with a clinical nutritionist, participate in daily physical activity and receive full medical and dental care.

Social

A healthy community is an incredibly important part of a healthy life. Our program works to introduce residents to healthy social engagement through mentors, volunteering and a variety of community programs. Our program also empowers and restores dignity to each woman by providing access to continued education, vocational training and job placement.

What we are working toward providing residents:

  • Spiritual Freedom from pain, and trauma that bring wholeness through Jesus Christ

  • Long term, trauma informed care in a restful living environment

  • 24/7 onsite care and leadership team

  • Healthy and holistic living

  • Group Therapeutic Activities (Art Therapy, Equine Therapy, holistic healing techniques)

  • Legal and Medical rehabilitative assistance

  • Individual Counseling from a Licensed Mental Health Counselor

  • Addiction Support

  • Medical Attention

  • Case Management

  • Continued Education

  • Vocational Training Programs

Human Trafficking Statistics

Human trafficking is not something happening just in certain places anymore because the digital age makes human trafficking available at the click of a button, meaning that victims of  human trafficking are literally being shopped for by predators online in communities large and small.

The United States ranks as one of the worst countries in the world, and as a Tier One country for cases of human trafficking, due to its consistent reporting efforts in combatting the problem. The first Restcued safe house will be established in Illinois, which ranks number 8  in the nation for human trafficking cases, with Chicago ranking number 5 as one of the worst human trafficking cities in the nation.

These statistics are only as consistent as reporting occurs. Much work is to be done to provide consistent statistics. What we do know, is that human trafficking is happening everywhere due to the digital world we live in, and especially in communities with drug trafficking and access to major U.S. interstates.

CAPTURING THE VISION

Building the first Restcued© Safehouse in Northern Illinois.

The Renovation

To protect the privacy of the first safe house location, we are sharing interior pictures of the progress of our project. We have great needs! The first safe house will be transformed into a 3 bedroom 1 bath home, and able to intake up to 4 residents at one time. The home will be equipped with a newly remodeled kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms, with an Amazon Wishlist of items needed for the residents.
