Mission & Vision

Our Story

Changing the Culture began in 2012 after the heartbreaking loss of Serena’s brother to suicide—a tragedy that ignited a passion for real change and lasting hope in our communities.

In 2020, that passion grew into action. We sold nearly everything we owned and set out across the country—from California to Florida and countless places in between—mentoring, encouraging, and helping people discover their God-given purpose. Our journey has always been about serving the overlooked and creating spaces where healing and restoration can flourish.

Today, Changing the Culture continues to pursue a bold vision: to see entire communities transformed through practical love and holistic care. We focus on three active goals that carry this mission forward.

1. The Mosaic Initiative

This is our cornerstone project—already in motion and hopeful to launch first in Sarasota, FL. The Mosaic Initiative will provide safe, long-term housing and wraparound support for hundreds of women and children, helping each family move from crisis to a thriving, self-sustaining life. 2. Serena’s Story & Voice

Serena Dye is the author of Becoming a Voice, a powerful memoir of triumph over trauma and abuse. A former executive director of a large nonprofit serving women in crisis pregnancies, she increased that organization’s net profit by over 500% while pioneering innovative community-based programs. Serena speaks nationally—at conferences, churches, and advocacy forums—equipping women to heal, reclaim their identity, and lead their families with courage. Her testimony continues to inspire thousands across the nation.

3. Home Gatherings

This initiative goes back to what God placed on Cory’s heart in 2010: that the Church must spend more time being the hands and feet of God rather than only speaking about Him. Cory and Serena regularly host simple, Spirit-filled gatherings in homes—sharing meals, praying together, and creating space for real discipleship, deep fellowship, and authentic community.  CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE
